Seniors Connected: A Talk on Active Ageing by SeniorsAloud
Seniors Connected: Making Technology Relevant For the Older Persons
Gerontechnology Exhibition and Special Talk/Storytelling Series
Petrosains has teamed up with Monash University Malaysia Gerontechnology Lab and IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society (TEMS) Malaysia Chapter to organize a gerontechnology exhibition and a series of special talks/storytelling on technology and ageing.
What is gerontechnology?
Gerontechnology is an interdisciplinary field of scientific research in which technology is directed towards the aspirations and opportunities for older persons.
Currently, there are about 901 million persons aged 60 years and above. This number will increase by 2025 and will reach 2.1 billion by 2050. All of us will inevitably age, and thus it pays to start looking into our future selves and experience how we can be empowered. This 2-week event aims to promote active ageing and independent living through technology, innovation and valuable experiences from the subject matter experts.
